Making a Difference
Student Movement Against Cancer (SMAC) was proud to present our third annual signature event: Movers, Shakers, Change Makers, a day of fun, fitness, and fighting cancer to support Comfort Project 360!For one special day, SMAC harnessed student leadership and activism, spotlight healthy living, and raise much needed funds for programs and amenities at the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center's Cancer Centers. Comfort Project 360 is a nonprofit organization that was established in 2014 with the mission to complement the outstanding care provided by the Cancer Centers at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center by creating supportive and healing environments in which patients and their loved ones are treated.
Current students from all schools with active SMAC chapters were invited to join us for this special event, and we're thrilled to share that students from three different high schools came out to celebrate SMAC and support our cause.
The events were a smash hit! Not only did everyone have fun while breaking a sweat, but we raised $8700+ for Comfort Project 360!

Wrist Pedometer Giveaway
Every attendee received a SMAC wrist pedometer at check-in! Not only a fun souvenir, the student who moved the most by the end of the evening got to pick from over a dozen amazing prizes!
Health and Wellness Awareness
Participants were invited to attend yoga and mindfulness sessions presented by local professionals. Information about active lifestyle, good diet, and proactive health habits supplied by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and MD Anderson Cancer Center was also on hand to help everyone learn how to lead to a healthier, happier life.
Competitions and Prizes
From spike ball to pickle ball, musical chairs to free-throws, students competed for fun prizes all throughout the afternoon!
T-shirt Giveaway
The first 100 registered students received our stylish and comfortable Movers, Shakers, Change Makers tee, perfect for showing off your commitment to our cause.
